A lighter, healthy lunch option

- MONICA R. LOPEZ / Writer

Fifteen dressings, 120 condiments—think of the combinations one can whip up. This is what diners can look forward to at Pusô’s salad bar.

With the variety of choices at the salad bar, one can have a lot of fun adding and tossing up different choices of cheese, meat, dressings and even some unexpected ingredients like anchovies, bolinao, pork chicharon and many more.

Granted having unlimited choices to create one’s salad creation can be a tad overwhelming, but with the expertise of Pusô’s Sous Chef Cydh Dinsay, it won’t be so hard.

In fact, he even showed media guests a thing or two about salad making by creating different kinds of salad during an intimate demonstration last week. Some of the creations include the Hangover salad made with bacon strips, cherry tomato, parsley, jalapeño tossed in with its house kimchi dressing; Local Flavor salad made with salted egg, fried tofu, green mango with danggit dressing; Tutti Fruity made with a mix of fruits like pineapple, pomelo, grapes, watermelon mixed with mango dressing; and the Healthy Asian salad made with spicy chicken, beansprout, shredded omelet and mixed with teriyaki dressing.

For days when all one wants is something light for lunch or for those quick business meetings, here is another option diners at the restaurant can opt for.

Pusô Bistro and Bar’s salad bar is located at Quest Hotel & Conference Center- Cebu and available daily from 11: 30 a.m. to 2: 30 p.m.
