Toquero thirsts for victory after losing 3 fights
Cebuano striker Eugene Toquero looks to end his losing slump in the ONE Championship cage as he takes on Chinese prospect Ma Hao Bin in the undercard of ONE Championship “Hero’s Dream” on Nov. 3 at the Thuwunna Indoor Stadium in Yangon, Myanmar.
Toquero dropped his last three fights and is in dire need of a win. He lost to Brazilian Adriano Moraes by a first-round submission, to fellow Filipino Danny Kingad, also via a first round submission, and against Indonesian Stepher Rahardian by unanimous decision.
Bin has won five straight fights, with his latest, a second-round submission victory over fellow Chinese Getu Hexi. Toquero is 8-5, while Bin is 7-1. Two other Filipino fighters are seeing action in the undercard.
Burn Soriano (3-3) trades strikes with undefeated Chinese Chen Lei (3-0).
Soriano is coming off a stoppage loss to Saiful Merican, while Lei is fresh from a submission win over Merican two months ago.
Jomary Torres (2-0), in the meantime, faces off Indonesian Nita Dea (0-1).
Both Torres and Dea fought the same opponent in their respective last fights. Torres beat Rika Ishige by a second-round submission two months ago, while Dea lost to Ishige by a first-round submission.
The main event features an open weight bout between ONE middleweight champion Aung La N Sang and heavyweight Alain Ngalani. /
