Two events take center stage in Foressa Trails this Sunday

The Salomon X-Trail Run Pilipinas 2017 and the Motor Ace Philippines MTB Trail Ride will mark the opening of the Foressa Trails at the Foressa Mountain Town in Cansomoroy, Balamban, Cebu this Sunday.

The Motor Ace Philippines MTB Trail Ride has 110 registered cyclists as of yesterday. The fun ride will cover about 17-kilometer course in the Foressa Trails, a bike course designed on the standards of International Mountainbike Association.

The MTB ride will mark the opening of the MTB course, which will be open to public from Tuesday to Sunday.

The MTB Trail organizers will be providing a bikefor-rent for those participants who don’t have a bike for trails. The rent is at P500 with helmet and gloves.

The Salomon X-Trail Pilipinas 2017, on the other hand, will challenge runners in the trail course. The run features two categories, the 21-kilometer Mountain Run and 11K Trail Run.

The trail run, organized by Primer Group of Companies, is projected to draw about 300 runners. The event aims to promote trail running in Cebu and encourage road runners to get out of their comfort zone by trying the adventure of trail running.

The Salomon X-Trail Run Pilipinas starts at 6 a.m., while the Motor Ace MTB Trail Ride kicks off at 7 a.m. The Foressa Trails opening rites will be at 10 a.m.
