“I love playing around with different styles, sometimes depending on my mood or even the weather. But my go-to style for workdays is always the “girly girl” look. I’m a fan of skirts, dresses, heels and boots. I pick pieces that are easy to mix and match—one top can go a long way! And as for accessories, aside from my trusty watch, I’m currently obsessed with chokers!” 1 Button down shirt – H&M 2 Dress – H&M 3 Watch – Tissot 4 Boots – H&M Check out Tara’s style tips: ■ Try new and different styles. Don’t be afraid of those bold prints, ruffles and whatnot. Sometimes it won’t work. But there will be times that you’ll just be surprised that it does! There’s nothing to lose if you just try them on in the dressing room. ■ If doubtful, ask for a second opinion. If you’re like me who shops by yourself, take a snap of that outfit in the mirror and send it to your most trusted friends. They can help you decide if it’s a go or a no-go. ■ Always remember that one piece of clothing can go a long way. Mixing and matching your clothes can also give a different feel. A little black dress with heels will give a polished look but adding a jean jacket and boots gives a more casual look. ■ When buying white pieces, put your hand under the fabric to know if the fabric is thick enough. This will let you know if you can wear that white top/dress/skirt all on its own or if you need something under. ■ Confidence is always key! So lengthen your spine, chin up, smize and sashay away!
