Justice League Run hits Cebu next month
The Justice League Fun Run returns to Cebu on Nov. 19 at the SM City Cebu car park.
The fun run is part of the promotional activity for DC’s Justice League movie, which will open in cinemas on Nov. 16.
The fun run will feature three distances—the 3-kilometer, 5K and 10K. The run will start and finish at SM City Cebu and will cover S. Osmeña St. and M.J Cuenco Avenue.
The organizers, Global Procurement Inc. (GPI) headed by marketing director Maritess Fragrante, announced during the launch yesterday that this running event is different from their 2015 edition, which was also held in Cebu City that drew 2,000 runners.
“This run is in line with the Justice League movie on Nov. 16 and it’s different from the DC Justice League Run that we had here in Cebu in 2015 since we will be using the designs of the costumes from the movie for our singlet so it’s going to be more exciting and more fun,” said Fragrante.
They are targeting 2,000 to 3,000 runners for the Nov. 19 run.
“The brand itself (Warner Bros.) is already big but we still want to invite Cebuano runners to come join us and don their favorite Justice League superheroes singlet and costumes, it’s going to be a fun-filled activity,” added Fragrante.
The costume designs of Justice League movie namely Superman, Batman, Aquaman, Cyborg, Flash and Wonder Woman will be featured in the run.
Each singlet also has its own accessories depending on which superhero a participant chooses. The finishers will receive a finisher’s dogtag designed by Silverworks.
Registration is ongoing at the Chris Sports outlet in SM City Cebu and at Silverworks in Ayala Center Cebu.
Registration fee is at P800 for the 3K, P1,100 for the 5K and P1,300 for 10K./
