RIP, dear Cardinal

- ROGER SERNA rodzsugbo88@gmail.com SOUNDS AND IMAGES.

The demise of the beloved Archbishop Emeritus Ricardo Cardinal Vidal surely gave the Cebu Catholic community a heavy heart. However, the thought that another creature was added to the number of intercessors for us to the Almighty also gave a feeling of reassurance and further strengthened one’s faith. Rest in peace, dear Cardinal.

*** So the presence of Mojo Bistro Bar & Resto in Danao City was not enough after all. The dynamic duo of Suba Barangay Captain Jongkie and Mdm. Ramonette Durano-Mahinay opened Fuel Fusion Food & Bar Restaurant yesterday at the second floor of the Sands Gateway Mall.

*** Star Cinema is set to release “Ghost Bride” with no other than Cebuana Chinita Princess Kim Chiu in the title role.

Of course she has a formidable lineup of support cast to make each scene hair-raising and nerve-wracking. The horror expert Chito Roño is at the helm.

*** Yes, it was too good to be true but I still relish the feeling of watching siblings burying their animosity toward each other just so they’ll be able to please their father who was erroneously diagnosed with cancer.

I bow to the screenplay writer for a nice script for “Seven Sundays.” Ronaldo Valdez was at his best. Ditto for Aga Muhlach, Dingdong Dantes, Cristine Reyes and Enrique Gil. Oh! Ketchup Eusebio cannot be ignored here.

I think, Edward Barber was miscast. He’s too foreign-looking as the son of Dingdong and Iza Calzado.
