P5.7M WORTH OF MARIJUANA UPROOTED IN DANAO
Police uprooted 8,925 fully grown marijuana plants worth P5.7 million in the mountain village of Togonon, Danao City around 7 a.m. yesterday. The plants were burned in the area. Suspected cultivator Julito Batucan was arrested. The uprooting was a continuation of a police operation that started in Barangay Sibakan, where 12,000 marijuana plants were discovered last Wednesday afternoon. Reynaldo Cal was arrested after he was identified as its cultivator. Suspects will face complaints for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
