POLICE TO FOCUS ON TRAFFIC DURING CHRISTMAS

The Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 has identified two pilot areas as a discipline zone. PRO 7 Director Jose Espino said the zones must be free of mendicants, traffic, illegal vendors and graffiti. “(We can do this) with the help of the mayor of Cebu and the barangay chairman of the areas near JY Square and Fuente Osmeña,” Espino said. For the Christmas season, Espino said they will focus on improving traffic in the city, in addition to crime prevention. Police officers will work for 12 hours on the field and will be on call for the remaining 12 hours.
