Most Pinoys satisfied with democracy
People with less education are more likely to support a military government.
In its Spring 2017 Global Attitudes Survey, which was conducted across 38 nations, researchers from the Pew Research Center found that 47 percent of those in the Philippines who have less education thought that “military rule would be a good way to govern our country.” Of those with more education, only 37 percent said they would support military rule.
Views about the economy, as well as how people see the past and future, also tend to influence whether or not people are satisfied with the way democracy works. People in high-growth countries are more likely “to trust that the national government is doing what is right for the country.”
