This year’s MESch Educators’ Month carries the theme, “Filipino Teachers: Partners in Progress” The search for E*rnestinean teacher 2017 showcases the talent and intelligence of teachers
The Marie Ernestine School North Campus held a search for model teachers. With the theme “Filipino Teachers: Partners in Progress,” the search was meant to honor teachers and to bring out the best in them. It was part of the school’s Educators’ Month. The north campus’s chairperson, Marie Antoniette D. Castro, and Mary Kate O. Enerlan, together with Rosette J. Dizon and choreographer Jessie Nuñez, conceptualized the search.
To honor the teachers and to bring out the best in them, the Marie Ernestine School (MESch)-north campus in Budlaan, Cebu City organized the Search for E*rnestinean Teacher 2017 last month.
With the theme, “Filipino Teachers: Partners in Progress,” the final judging was held last Oct. 26 at the Robinson’s Galleria Cebu. It was part of the school’s month-long celebration of the Educators’ Month.
MESch north campus chairpersons Marie Antoniette D. Castro and Mary Kate O. Ener- lan, together with school administrator Rosette J. Dizon and choreographer Jessie Nuñez, conceptualized the search to honor the teachers.
Prior to the event last Oct. 26, a pre-judging of talents was held, with teachers Wennie Rose Castillon(cultural dance), Rosenie Pepito (decalamation), and Alita J. Lumbab(fire dance) emerged as winners.
The best presentation winners were Grade 1, Grade 6 and Senior High; while special awards went to Vanessa Marie P. Pilapil for People’s Choice Award, Alita J. Lumbab for Miss Photogenic, and Vanessa Marie P. Pilapil for Best in School Uniform.
During the final event, Lumbab won as the E*rnestinean Teacher 2017.
The other winners were Risty A. Pagadan (first runner-up), Rosenie Pepito (second runner-up), Vannesa Marie P. Pilapil (third runner-up), and Rubie Anne C. Guibone (fourth runner up).
The panel of judges were Jovy T. Gerodias, Nee T. Loreto and Dr. Dulce L. Baricuatro, who served as the chairman of the board of judges.
