EXPORTERS LIKE MANDATORY 5-DAY RESPONSE TIME FROM CUSTOMS

Exporters lauded a new order by Customs Commissioner Isidro Lapeña mandating Bureau of Customs offices to cut down the processing time for requests and petitions to within five days. Sergio Ortiz-Luis, Jr., president of the Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc. said that Customs Memorandum Order (CMO) No. 24-2017 will promote transparency in government transactions and support trade.
