SHE NEEDED TO PEE, SAYS ACTRESS MA. ISABEL LOPEZ

Sun.Star Cebu - - NEWS PLUS -

TV-movie star Maria Isabel Lopez removed divider cones and drove on the Asean lane on Edsa in Manila, which was closed to ordinary commuters like her, who’s not a delegate to the Asean summit in Manila.

Lopex, 55, had a compelling need to pee or poo or both, whichever, as she cited only “nature’s calls” (plural, hers).

It’s not yet known if the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will desist from suspending her license and slapping a stiff fine. Before she apologized, she proudly announced how she had deceived MMDA traffic enforcers into thinking she was an official Asean delegate. “If you can’t beat them, you join them,” she wrote on Facebook.

In the video clip she posted, her voice is heard, “Yeeeeeo, Asean here I come!” as part of the interior of the car is shown as the vehicle enters the Asean lane.
