3 MAN ARRESTED WHILE GETTING POLICE CLEARANCE

A man was arrested by personnel of Compostela Police Station after authorities found out that he had a pending warrant of arrest. Marlon Ruta, 31, was in the process of getting his police clearance yesterday morning when he was caught by the town police. He has an existing warrant of arrest for violation of Republic Act 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Children Act. Ruta hails from Barangay Magay, Compostela. The arrest warrant against Ruta was issued by Judge Alexander Acosta of the Regional Trial Court Branch 9 in Cebu City. /
