5 CENTCOM ASSURES STABILITY IN REGION 7

There are possible movements among high-ranking officials of the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army (CPP-NPA) in Negros, said an official of the Armed Forces of the Philippines-Central Command (CentCom). This, after Rustico Tan, an alleged high-ranking member of the NPA, was arrested in Santander. CentCom spokesperson Lt. Col. Medel Aguilar assured, though, that they can maintain stability in the region. “He (Tan) is a party member so he must be somebody up there. He is handling many people,” Aguilar said. /
