Ai­rA­sia cel­e­brates ASEAN’s ju­bilee

Ai­rA­sia has launched Ai­rA­sia Loves ASEAN, a series of ini­tia­tives fo­cused on ed­u­ca­tion, tal­ent de­vel­op­ment and the econ­omy to cel­e­brate 50 years of the As­so­ci­a­tion of South­east Asian Na­tions (ASEAN).

The ini­tia­tives com­prise the Ai­rA­sia ASEAN Univer­sity Part­ner­ship, ASEAN En­trepreneurs Day, Asean Jour­nal­ists Camp and All­stars Ex­change Pro­gramme.

Through the univer­sity part­ner­ship, Ai­rA­sia will give ter­tiary stu­dents from across the re­gion in­tern­ship op­por­tu­ni­ties in var­i­ous ca­pac­i­ties with the air­line, with a chance to se­cure full-time em­ploy­ment upon grad­u­a­tion.

ASEAN En­trepreneurs Day will re­in­force Ai­rA­sia’s com­mit­ment to en­trepreneurs by pro­vid­ing them with a fo­rum to learn from the best star­tups in the re­gion and a plat­form to de­velop and mar­ket their busi­nesses.

Ai­rA­sia Loves ASEAN was launched at the Philip­pine Air Force Head­quar­ters at Vil­lamor Air Base in Metro Manila yes­ter­day. Asean Deputy Sec­re­tary-Gen­eral Dr AKP Mochtan and Malaysian Am­bas­sador to the Philip­pines Dato’ Ra­zlan Ab­dul Rashid, among oth­ers, at­tended.

“We owe our suc­cess to ASEAN,” Ai­rA­sia CEO Tony Fer­nan­des said. “As a truly ASEAN air­line, we want to bring the peo­ple across the re­gion closer to­gether in line with the amaz­ing work ASEAN has done over the past 50 years.”


ASEAN COL­ORS. Ai­rA­sia un­veils its “I Love ASEAN” air­craft liv­ery show­cas­ing de­signs in­spired by tex­tiles, ar­chi­tec­ture, art and na­ture from all 10 ASEAN mem­ber­na­tions.
