The Mighty Ton Burger takes a kilo of USDA tenderloin patty, blankets it with an overload of American cheese, crowned with 125 grams of bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, sauteed
onions, mushrooms and then stacked between slices of its homemade manhole-cover-like buns. The 12-inch burger is served with one’s choice of barbecue, cheese or sour cream fries. Leave some room for the Milky Way, a thick chocolate milkshake that is sure to bring all the boys to the yard.
Tomahawk Steak Where: Azure Beach Club, Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan
Closely resembling a single-handed ax (hence the name), this cut of cow is already show-stopping on its own. Cook it to medium rare on a Wood Show broiler, top it with orange and garam masala-laced butter, and you’ve got yourself 1,200 grams of US tomahawk beef that is worth its weight in gold. Azure completes this carnivorous creation with sides of sauteed vegetables, garlic noodles with nori, and its signature sauces—lemongrass salsa, green sambal and bulgogi sauce. It is pure primal pleasure in every succulent piece.

Those who are jonesing for some smoky sensations will think they have died and gone to barbecue heaven with this sampler tray that’s piled high with 2,000 grams of the joint’s signature smoked meats. Slabs of slow-cooked, rubbed-the-rightway beef brisket, pork spare ribs, chicken leg quarter, smoked kawali and a generous portion of pulled pork are a meat lover’s dream, but at Bleachers Barbecue, these are heaped into meaty reality with the welcome addition of smoked scallops and smoked squid.
