FANTASTIC FRIDAY Christmas furniture treats

- CHELZEE G. SALERA / Writer

The biggest furniture bazaar is starting today. For three straight days, shoppers will be treated to an array of unique and top-quality products in the biggest Furniture Christmas Bazaar from today until Nov. 26 at the Paradise Garden Events Pavilion along H. Abellana St., Jagobiao, Mandaue City, Cebu.

Dubbed the first of its kind in all of Cebu, the bazaar hopes to make a broad range of furniture available to the public. “Furniture is not generally considered in a bazaar situation because of the price; however, a lot of furniture stores in Cebu have overruns; they have abandoned sales, they have discontinued items which they can reduce the price down to the level in which an average person can come in from the street and buy from the offerings that we make,” says Jim Cassels, marketing director of Furniture City.

Today’s event, which will be for VIPs, will run from 4 until 10 p.m. On Nov. 25 and 26, the bazaar will run from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. Furniture City will be holding raffle activities with three raffle draws every day and many more treats for its guests.

Aside from furniture options for its guests the bazaar will also be featuring gifts, toys, housewares, and food bazaars as well as textiles and fashion items. There will be over 35 exhibitors that will be displaying their goods all over the area.

“We are fortunate to have our own building for weddings and events and we have a huge amount of space—over 4,000 square meters. The area dedicated to the bazaar is 2,864 sq. m. Because of our place, we can do it less expensively than the others,” said Cassels.

Admission to the Furniture Christmas Bazaar is free.
