Celebrities craft ‘love dishes’
Not only are Donita Rose, Mark Bautista and Sam Oh delightful to look at, they can also create mouth-watering dishes. And so Resorts World Manila (RWM) tapped these celebrities and more to collaborate on “love dishes” for the resorts’ many restaurants.
Other celebrities who concocted original dishes for RWM are TV host Stephanie Zubiri-Crespi, actresses Dimples Romana and Meg Imperial, and chef Luigi Muhlach, son of Aga Muhlach and Janice de Belen.
RWM director for culinary arts Cyrille Soenen refined the recipes provided by the celebrities.
Actress-turned-chef Rose’s love dish is truly Filipino: ginataang chicken adobo, which is served in RWM’s Silogue. She also concocted the creamy mangostrawberry jelly for Impressions, RWM’s signature French restaurant.
Zubiri-Crespi’s sambal-spiced porcini and mixed mushroom farfalle is also available at Impressions.
Romana made use of the popular Filipino delicacy in her dish: salted egg prawns, which is exclusively available at Passion.
Luigi didn’t follow in his parents’ footsteps but made a name for himself as a chef. He crafted the recipe for sinuglaw sa aligue served in The Terrace and Bar 360.
Oh, a Korean expat who works as a TV and radio host, brought a bit of home in her love dish: hoddeok, a Korean pancake with nutty filling. It is served in Ginzadon with the restaurant’s house-made black sesame seed and salted caramel ice cream.
Singer Bautista concocted the peanut butter cupcake, which is available at Cafe Maxims and RBar.
RWM Love Dish 2017 is served until the end of the year./
