Teofilo Camomot biopic

CONCERT. It’s all systems go as far as the free concert “Pasiawit: Paskohanong Dalit” is concerned. This first major project of the Sugboanong Musikero Inc. (SMI) will be held on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the City Wing of SM Seaside City Cebu. SMI lead founder/president Gitoy Ornopia Jr. is inviting the general public to watch this upcoming show.

STARS. The free concert boasts of some of the country’s big stars like singer-actress Vina Morales, crooner Chad Borja and novelty singer Max Surban and other talents, mostly based here. It’s going to be a concert that is also fun-filled as there will be plenty of stand-up comedy acts in between songs. Be sure to be there as early as possible.

BIOFILM. I heard that there’s a local group of filmmakers that have already produced a movie or biopic on the late Archbishop Teofilo Camomot, whose sainthood is being worked on by the local Roman Catholic hierarchy. I don’t know who are behind this group of filmmakers but I hope they will update us on their project.

SCREENING. It is also hoped that the Camomot biofilm will be screened in local cinemas as soon as it gets the appropriate rating from the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board. To me, the bioflick should even be screened in cinemas nationwide so that more and more people could get to know the Cebuano candidate for sainthood.
