WATERFRONT GETS SEAL OF APPROVAL

-

Hotel will receive plaque in Thailand in January

The Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino has been chosen as one of the five Philippine recipients of the Asean’s (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) prestigious 1st MICE Venue Standard Award in a Hotel Category Setting (AMVS) for compliance based on the requirements of the said Asean Standard.

MICE or Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions is one of the growing sectors in Asean countries. MICE venues are one of the vital factors for a destination to be selected for MICE activity.

AMVS has become a reference to develop and enhance the capacity and competitiveness of MICE entrepreneurs in serving both the organizers and visitors in a professional way. There are assessment guidelines for the members of the National Assessment Committee for them to inspect, audit and assess Asean MICE venues.

Office of Tourism Standards and Regulation country director Maria Rice C. Bueno proudly informed Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino general manager Anders Hallden of the award.

An AMVS certificate and plaque issued by the Asean member-states will be presented during the Asean Tourism Forum on Jan. 26 in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

The Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino has spent two decades delivering nothing but excellent service and top-notch rooms and facilities to all its valued guests. Thus, with this overwhelming recognition, the hotel offers this success also to its patrons and loyal guests.
