The image of Señor Sto. Niño was brought yesterday the Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC) to give hope to hospital personnel and patients there.

Last Dec. 17, the image was also brought to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) in Cebu City.

“It is the initiative of the Sinulog Foundation and we requested the Basilica, especially Rector Fr. Nahara, OSA, if we could let Señor Sto. Niño visit public hospitals, and we are grateful since they approved it and now we are here in CCMC,” said Councilor Dave Tumulak.

From VSMMC, the image was transferred to Cebu City Medical Center at 1:30 p.m.

The visit started with a mass led by Fr. Pacifico Nahara Jr., OSA. Councilors Dave Tumulak and Margot Osmeña joined the mass in a chapel beside CCMC.

“This is to let our sick brothers and sisters experience the miracle healing of Señor Sto Niño,” said Fr. Nahara in his homily.

There are 130 patients in the CCMC now.

“We are happy that Sto. Niño visited the CCMC. We need intervention from Sto. Niño and we need healing miracle from Him for our patients here,” said Kenneth Siasar, hospital administrator.

The image will remain in CCMC until noon tomorrow.

“There will be a vigil here, the image will stay in CCMC for two nights and three days. After this, by Jan. 19-20 Senior Sto. Niño will visit City Jail, Operation Second Chance and City Jail Female Dormitory,” Tumulak said.
