Look: 6 artists, 3 weeks, 2 hallways at SM Seaside
SM Seaside City presents local Cebuano talents who have rendered several mural paintings in different food shops in the city.
The 632 Gallery consists of six artists namely Maddy Boone, Maxcel Migalos, Denmark Cataluna, Panu Yu, Anne Amores and Neigel Delima. They are behind the huge rendering of mural paintings located at the two Hallways of SM Seaside leading to the Sky Park on the third floor.
The concept of the piece was to promote Cebu as a city not of busy streets but a place where a strong lifestyle scene exists and that can be felt through five human senses.
Boone lets audiences see main tourist attractions of Cebu including the historical Magellan’s Cross, Lapu-Lapu Shrine, Capitol and Fuente Osmeña Rotunda. Cataluna makes people feel how it is being in Cebu by riding a jeepney, MyBus and to do the island hopping. Amores lets viewers “hear” the music of Cebu through guitars and melodies of Visayan Pop music. Yu takes care of the best eats in Cebu which include dried mango, puso, barbecue, danggit and lechon. Rounded up by Migalos and Delima, see the rest of Cebu, where progress is visible through the heights of the BPO (business process outsourcing) industry, mall ventures and road projects. All of these can be seen through beautiful art in the mall above all else in the Visayas, SM Seaside City Cebu.
