NICE DAY, A CARWASH BRAND WITH A CAUSE
Carwash for a cause has been organized by Nice Day for the past 2 years as part of the firm’s corporate social responsibility
Nice Day! Carwash has been known for delivering a professional carwash services to its clientele through its branches all over Cebu Province and Bacolod.
But this brand is more than just a carwash as for the last two years it has been supporting several charitable groups in Cebu.
Last Dec. 8, almost 100 percent of its brand sales were donated to the “Carwash for a Cause” program, which was spearheaded by company-owned and majority of its franchise operated outlets.
“This is the second year that we are doing this. The proceeds from the Dec. 8 sales goes to a feeding program headed by a Salesian priest from Don Bosco. We plan to continue doing this every year.,” said president and chief operations officer Vince Yap. “We chose Dec. 8 because aside from it is the month of giving, it is also the feast of the Immaculate Conception. It will serve as our little offering. We have 365 days in a year to earn money so we offer one day of it.”
Although the program was spearheaded by the company-owned branches, Yap said that they are fortunate to have generous franchises who have been supportive of the cause.
Aside from this yearly project, the company also have quarterly charitable works for the youth as part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives, such as feeding, giving of school supplies.
The long-term plan of the company is help put deserving youngsters to go school through its scholarships program.
The company is hoping to launch its scholarship program this 2018, as it is already on the final planning stage.
