PURSUIT ONGOING FOR 3 FOREIGNERS OVER ‘KIDNAPPING’

Witnesses say they were in black van with plate number 128PMQ with 2 Pinoys

Three unidentified foreigners and two Filipinos allegedly abducted a 21-year-old college student on Leon Kilat St., Cebu City yesterday morning.

Chief Insp. Jacinto Mandal, chief of the Carbon Police Station, said they are tracking down a black van with plate number 128 PMQ, believed to have been used to abduct the woman (name withheld).

“Two of the foreigners have dark complexion, while the other one is white. There were also two Filipinos involved and who have yet to be identified based on witnesses’ accounts,” Mandal said.

The Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) released a flash alarm to the Mobile Patrol Group (MPG) , Highway Patrol Group (HPG), and other police units for the whereabouts of the vehicle.

“At around eight in the morning, the brother of the victim personally appeared in our station to report the alleged abduction of his sister,” Mandal said.

The Carbon chief added that the victim managed to text that she was being taken to a mountainous area in Cebu City and that her feet were bound.

“She also texted that she was maltreated,” Mandal said.

He said that they already identified the owner, but has yet to verify if it was really an abduction.

“We cannot speculate,” Mandal said.

CCPO Director Senior Supt. Joel Doria said that they already coordinated with the Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG), Regional Anti-Kidnapping Group (RAKG), Land Transportation Office (LTO), and other agencies to track down the student.

In the victim’s Facebook account, the alleged kidnappers posted a status saying that the latter shouldn’t be sought.

“STOP FINDING THIS WOM- AN OR I’LL KILL HER. SHE IS MINE,” the post stated.

Friends and relatives of the victim went on social media and asked for help in locating the victim. Their post has gone viral.

However, Doria advised those online to stop chatting with the alleged abductor, for the victim’s safety.

“The police is doing their best to locate the victim. Stop chatting with the alleged abductor because it might cause more harm than not to the victim,” Doria said in Tagalog.

The victim’s sister pleaded for the latter’s safe return and fainted while in the police station.

Her boyfriend also said that the alleged abductors were two burly Black American, a Caucasian and two Filipinos.

“She was punched when they caught her texting me. She was on her way for duty because she’s a working student,” he said./
