Province sacks 6 JO employees

-

The contracts of at least six job-order employees of the Cebu Provincial Government will no longer be renewed this year, said an official of the Provincial Human Resources Management Office yesterday.

Bhobby Nacorda, Provincial Human Resources officer, said that of the six job-order employees, three of them work as watchmen of the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC).

The others were hired by the Provincial Planning and Development Office and the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office.

Performance

Nacorda said that the contracts of some of the job-order employees were no longer renewed due to poor performance and because they violated the Capitol’s policies.

Some of them, he added, were occupying posts in Capitol that are redundant.

Nacorda said every employee, whether regular, casual or job order, must comply with the Capitol’s performance management system. They must also have perfect attendance.

He then urged Capitol employees, particularly job-order employees, to always do their best while working for the Provincial Government.

As for the Capitol’s casual employees, Nacorda said their contracts were renewed.

He, however, said that their contracts will be reviewed after six months.

There are at least 3,615 employees who are working in the Capitol, 1,839 of whom are job-order employees. /
