18 persons fall in weekend drug busts
Eighteen suspected drug personalities were caught in separate drug busts in Danao City, LapuLapu City and Moalboal in the past two days.
In Danao, police seized 40 sachets of suspected shabu worth P28,910, a value set by the Dangerous Drugs Board, from 15 persons in the villages of Taytay, Taboc, Camaligbato and Suba yesterday dawn.
Alleged pushers Ritchie Batuto Capon, Jaime Dorong, Arnold Cuesta and Rodrego Motesuso were caught by the police.
Suspected users were identi- fied as Jonlun Sapio, Julito Balibad, Glenn Manipis, Jomer Genson, Joey Cane, Sanito Dayon Jr., Felix Perez, Jickson Caracut, Christian Villaleon, Luis Abalos, Rolando Arias, Edwin Jopia, Jobel Jopia, Aldrin Capin and Cruzell Capoy.
In Barangay Basdiot, Moalboal, Lenard Ferdinand Cabahug and Nino Quider were arrested at 3:30 a.m.
In Barangay Canjulao, LapuLapu, Nefrie “Bambam” Ymbong Dungog, 34, was caught by operatives at 6:15 p.m. last Saturday.
He yielded 17 small packs of suspected shabu worth P6,018.
Chief Insp. Mark Gifter Sucalit, City Intelligence Branch commander, said Dungog had been listed as a street-level pusher.
Dungog had surrendered last year, but they received reports that he was still into the illegal drug trade. /
