The country’s first and only commercial seaplane operator, Air Juan, expands its offering with the introduction of a seaplane service from Cebu, a first and a pioneer in the region.

Air Juan also recently unveiled its new seaplane terminal in partnership with the Cebu City Government. The terminal is at the South Road Properties. It aims to provide travelers the opportunity to island hop in the most convenient way possible.

Air Juan is a pioneering aviation outfit that provides fast and convenient air transport service connecting travelers to the Philippines’ most beautiful destinations. It is a duly licensed scheduled airline by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines and the Civil Aeronautics Board. It is also accredited by the Department of Tourism as a Tourist Air Transport Provider.

Air Juan started its initial operations in Puerto Princesa, utilizing a fleet of brand new Cessna Grand Caravan-EX land planes that can carry up to 12 passengers. Soon after, Air Juan launched its Seaplane service from the CCP Complex in Pasay City, Metro Manila, utilizing a fleet of Cessna Grand Caravan EX-Amphibians sea planes, which could either water land or land on the ground. It can carry a maximum of nine passengers.

Last June, Air Juan established its Cebu operations with scheduled land-plane flights from the Mactan Cebu International Airport to Bantayan Island in Cebu, Biliran Island and Maasin City in Leyte, Sipalay City in Negros Occidental, Siquijor and Tagbilaran City in Bohol.

Within the first quarter of this year, much coveted destinations such as Cebu’s Camotes, Malapascua and Sumilon Islands; Candijay in Bohol; Gigantes and Kalanggaman Islands in Iloilo, Lakawon Island in Negros Occidental; and Panglao in Bohol will now be mere minutes from Cebu City.

“We do ours faster. Like for example, we turned (a trip to) Tagbilaran City from two and a half hours to 20 minutes away from Cebu. We’re not a budget airline but we’re the most convenient. But we will try to be competitive with our fare prices because we want everyone to enjoy our services,” said John Gutierrez, chief executive of Air Juan.
