EXTRA CHEESE, PLEASE: SHARON & GABBY STAR IN FASTFOOD COMMERCIAL NEARLY 4 DECADES AFTER FIRST PROJECT TOGETHER

Nearly 37 years after they first worked on the same movie, Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion gave fans something to talk about when they both appeared in a fastfood commercial. A reunion movie has long been talked about, but so far has to be firmed up. Their first movie together was “Dear Heart”, which was released in 1981. Sharon and Gabby’s reel-to-real romance led to the birth of their daughter KC Concepcion in 1985, although both found other loves not long after that. Call a DJ and make a request if you want to be extra nostalgic (or help your children understand what these “feels” are all about).

Fans had all the feels when McDonald’s Philippines released its Valentine commercial featuring exes Gabby Concepcion and Sharon Cuneta.

The commercial immediately trended on YouTube and was already viewed over 20,000 times in just four hours. By then, over 2,000 people had already liked it. But like they say, it’s hard to please everybody--there were 11 people who gave the ad a thumbs-down.

The commercial shows Cuneta, 52, eating at McDonald’s. The Mega Star has been a long-time endorser of the fast-food chain. Enter Concepcion, 52, with his own tray of food.

Concepcion asks to join his ex-wife on the table and Cuneta indirectly says yes: “Ikaw naman, parang wala tayong pinagsamahan (Oh come on, it’s not like we didn’t have a past).”

So the two eat together and sparks flew. On the background is Nonoy Zuñiga’s “Kumusta Ka.”

Fans couldn’t contain their excitement over the reunion of KC Concepcion’s parents.

Cuneta and Concepcion were supposed to work together on a reunion movie but it was postponed. Fans are hoping it will push through.
