Garner to return to small screen

-

Who misses seeing Jennifer Garner on the small screen?

For those who raised their hands, there’s good news: the 45-year- old actress is returning to TV via a Lena Dunham project with HBO.

Safe to say Ben Affleck’s ex-wife will not be kicking bad people’s asses in the new project.

According to E! News, the eight- episode show will be a dark comedy. Dunham, who created “Girls,” is behind the project with Jenni Konner, who also co- created the HBO comedy that made Dunham a household name.

Dunham will also co- star in “Camping,” which is based on the British series of the same name.

The TV show will center on the 45th birthday of a character named Walt, who is yet to be cast.

“(It) was supposed to be a delightful weekend back to nature, at least according to his obsessively organized and aggressively controlling wife Kathryn (Garner). But when the camping trip gathers Kathryn’s meek sister, holier than thou ex-best friend and a free- spirited Tagalong in one place, it becomes a weekend of tested marriages and woman on woman crime that won’t soon be forgotten. Plus, bears,” the show’s plot read.

In a statement, Dunham joked she will write in some stunts for the action star.

Garner, who started out on television, gained popularity when she stepped into the shoes of double agent Sydney Bristowe in the hit action series “Alias” from 2001 to 2006.
