All the right moves
Ididn’t know it was possible. With the trade deadline fast approaching I thought there were too many moving parts that had to be addressed in order to make the Cleveland Cavaliers’ roster better. Shockingly, Koby Altman and Dan Gilbert pulled it off and the new look Cleveland Cavaliers look infinitely better.
The addition of Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr from the Los Angeles Lakers, George Hill from the Sacramento Kings and Rodney Hood from the Utah Jazz instantly made them younger , better and more athletic. They also unloaded Isaiah Thomas, Dwayne Wayde, Jae Crowder, Iman Shumpert, Channing Frye and Derrick Rose, players who were odd men out and didn’t quite fit into this year’s team dynamics.
LEBRON. At age 33, the King doesn’t have that many playing years left, unless he plans on playing until 40 , which I doubt. I liked his attitude when he said in an interview that the time they have left is what it is and they had to make do with what they had.
Amen to that as the additions they have are more than enough to make them heavy favorites in the eastern conference and a worthy challenger to the Golden State Warriors.
TALENT. Larry Nance a versatile, high-flying forward will give James some breathing room in terms of rim protection and will be a sight to behold when he finishes with those rim-ratlling dunks in the open court. Hood is an excellent shooter and versatile playmaker while Hill is the deadliest three-point shooter in the game.
Fil-Am Clarkson is averaging 14.5 pts pet game this season and can provide instant offense off the bench.
Lebron has never been a pure scorer and he’s at his best when he is surrounded by a collection of talents he can nurture and utilize.
The parts are in place, and with half of the regular season left, the ball is in your court, Lebron.
