Rago, Sedeno rule MMIS Color Bubble Run

Frachesca Rago and Julrey Sedeno ruled the 5-kilometer race of the 2018 Maria Montessori Internatio­nal School (MMIS) Color Bubble Run at the Central Command Headquarte­rs of the Armed Forces of the Philippine­s (AFP) in Barangay Apas, Cebu City last Saturday.

Rago clocked 21 minutes and 33 seconds to win the women’s division for a second straight year. Sofia Nolido came in at 31:20 for second place, followed by Hateya Jae Toganahan in 31: 35.

Sedeno, meanwhile, timed 21:02 to win the men’s division. Donald Boltron finished second at 21:43 and Ziv Poloyapoy came in third at 21:58.

The race, organized by MMIS’s Parents and Teachers Associatio­n (PTA) and handled by technical race director Joel Juarez, attracted 1,400 participan­ts, who are students, parents and faculty members of the school.

Thomas Andrei Satinitiga­n won the men’s 3K in 11:22, Ken Gesta and Tyrus Tampus finished at second and third plac- es with times of 11:53 and 12:03, respective­ly.

Juliet Sedeño was the first to finish the women’s 3K in 13:12, followed by Aubrey Glarino in 14:20 and Jackeah Mizsh Yosores in 14:21.

“This run is about having fun with the family, it promotes camaraderi­e and this is only the time that we really get the kids together for fun in healthy,” said PTA president Farrah Beuken. “The colored powered and bubble concept made this run more exciting.” Meanwhile, the Top 3 in the 1K category were Paul Cedrick Visaya (5:56), Mark Josh Palomares (6:30) and Joachim Angelo Gealon (6:50) in the men’s division, while Kianna Ashley Sarabosing (6:11), Nadeen Delos Santos (6:54) and Krisel Maia Tito (7:50) in the women’s class.
