Feb-ibig Flix, Love Knots events mark Oakridge’s Valentine treats for guests

Oakridge Business Parks marks the Love Month with activities that celebrate the most romantic month of the year.

This Feb. 12 and 13, Oakridge brings back Moonlight Movies, where everyone get to enjoy a film showing in an outdoor setting complete with mats and throw pillows.

Located at the Oakridge Garden Plaza, Moonlight Movies will feature “Feb-ibig Flix” from 7 to 10 p.m., a throwback of some Hollywood and Filipino movies that captured everyone’s hearts.

On Feb. 12, the movies shown are “Mamma Mia” (a 2008 British-American-Sweden musical romantic comedy film that tells the story of a young woman about to be married discovers that any one of three men could be her father) and “One More Chance” (a 2007 film by director Cathy Garcia-Molina that tells the story of two college sweethearts, who after separating a long-time, struggled with building new lives as they are reminded of happier times together.

On Feb. 13, watch “Four Sisters and a Wedding” (a Filipino comedy-drama of three sisters reuniting to dissuade their younger brother from marrying his fiancee) and “Notting Hill” (a 1999 British romantic comedy film on the life of a simple bookshop owner changes when he meets the most famous film star in the world.)

Moonlight Movies: Feb-ibig Flix is open to the public. The first 25 moviegoers per day gets to enjoy free Valentine treats.

In addition, throughout February, Oakridge invites everyone to “tie their knot” at the Oakridge Love Knots, a heart in- stallation that serves as a “shoutout” of one’s current status.

It’s like the famous “lovelocks,” but it’s “knot.” Guests are invited to pick a ribbon of their choice that best describes their current love status: blue for NOT (happily single); lilac for NUTS (it’s complicated) and red for KNOTS (in a relationship), which they then tie to the heart installation.

On the ribbon, guests indicate their name, mobile number and email address to qualify for a raffle draw on Feb. 28.
