Four players from Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu were among the chosen 10 who will represent the Visayas in the Junior NBA Philippines 2018 National Training Camp on May 18-20.

Twins William Archimedez and William Agamemnon Allosada, both 13; William Holan Baxter, also 13; and 14-year-old Keane Angelo Yu were picked by the Jr. NBA coaches from over 400 young boys and girls in the Jr. NBA Regional Selection Camp last Feb. 10 and 11 at the Trinity Christian School in Bacolod City.

“We are very proud of the four who made it to the Jr. NBA Visayas selection. All four are not only talented but are also good students,” SHS-AdC athletic director Rico Na- varro told SunStar Cebu.

The other six that made the cut are John Lester Amagan, 14, of St. Robert’s International Academy; Nathan Jun Jundana, 14, and Heinzy Gabriel Demisana, 13, of Bacolod Taytung High School; Dancylle Gabrealene Busime, 12, of Colegio San Nicolas de Tolentino-Recoletos; Danielle Gwen Dusaran, 12, of University of Negros Occidental Recoletos; and Gin Kayla Relliquette, 12, of St. Carmen Salles School.

The Visayas selection camp was led by coach Carlos Barroca and Alaska Aces assistant coach Tony Dela Cruz. The 10 were picked because they were the exceptional in different basketball drills and competition. They also exemplified the Jr. NBA core S.T.A.R. values of Sportsmanship, Teamwork, a positive Attitude and Respect.

The Visayas representatives will converge in the National Training Camp with the winners of the other Regional Selection Camps in Butuan, Baguio and Manila. The top eight boys and top eight girls will be named to the Jr. NBA Philippines All-Stars and will be sent to an NBA game. /
