3 SULU/ GOVERNMENT ENGINEER SEIZED

Suspected Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) members yesterday seized a government engineer in Sulu. Brigadier General Cirilito Sobejana, Joint Task Force Sulu commander, identified the victim as Enrico Nee of the first engineering district of the Department of Public Works and Highways in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. Sobejana said Nee was seized around 7:45 a.m. yesterday while he was waiting for a tricycle near his residence in San Raymundo, Jolo. A lone gunman approached him and, at gunpoint, forced him to board a vehicle jeep that sped towards Patikul.
