‘CONDUCT SURPRISE VISITS TO STATIONS’

CCPO chief says police officers have big salaries now, there’s no reason for them not to do their job well

To keep police officers in check, PNP Chief Ronald dela Rosa ordered commanders of police offices to conduct surprise visits in every police station.

Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) Director Joel Doria said that he already instructed their intelligen­ce branch to discreetly inspect the personnel of all 11 police stations in the city.

“I will conduct visits. But it will be unannounce­d, of course,” Doria said.

This includes gambling establishm­ents in case a police officer will gamble as they are prohibited from doing so.
