Zuchie Pe has a lot on her plate. Besides majoring in Marketing at the University of San Carlos, and running her own startup business selling personalized scents online, she is also an active member of one of her school’s major organizations.

“I am the public information officer of the Society of Young Business Executives and Entrepreneurs (SYBEE), a co-curricular organization that has been a recipient of the Outstanding Student Organization award for nine consecutive years. I am also a proud member of Golden Z, an affiliate of Zonta Club of Cebu II, an organization that advocates for women empowerment and gender equality,” Zuchie states.

Apart from all that, she is about to embark on a threemonth cultural exchange program in the U.S. next month. “Learning new things gives me a feeling of adding more value to myself. To me, knowledge is truly power. The more you learn, the more you are likely to survive in this world,” she says. That, coupled with a positive outlook in life, is what she arms herself with as she takes on challenge after challenge.

And she’s not stopping there. Her future plans include taking an internship in Australia and pursuing a degree in advertising. “As cliché as it sounds, my family inspires me. They are the reason why I want to achieve more in life.” Another secret of hers is that she never hesitates to ask for help whenever she’s troubled or confused.

She does make time to unwind by catching up on her favorite books or catching some sun at the beach with friends and family.
