SWU PHINMA OFFERS INTERNATIONAL DIPLOMA FOR HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT

The Cebu educational institution ties up with a Singaporean institute for the program

Southwestern University (SWU) Phinma partners with Singapore’s SDH (School D’Hospitality) Institute as the former revamps its Hospitality Management (HM) program that offers an international diploma. The collaboration incorporates SDH’s curriculum into SWU Phinma’s HM program, which will confer its graduates with Singaporean advanced diplomas in hospitality, automatically making them employable in Singapore. SWU Phinma students can also avail themselves of internship opportunities in Singapore and the US.

To strengthen its efforts in developing its next generation of programs, Southwestern University (SWU) Phinma revamps its Hospitality Management (HM) program and partners with Singapore’s SDH (School D’Hospitality) Institute in offering international diplomas.

This collaboration incorporates the curriculum of SDH Institute into the HM program of SWU Phinma, which confers its graduates with Singaporean advanced diplomas in HM, automatically making them employable in Singapore. This will also provide internship opportunities in Singapore and the US. The certification is also recognized in France and in the UK.

SWU Phinma is the only school that has an international partnership integrating the curriculum of SDH Institute in its program.

“In partnership with Singapore’s SDH Institute, SWU Phinma’s hospitality program’s curriculum prepares students for a successful international hospitality and tourism career. The curriculum that we will provide through SDH arms students with the necessary knowledge and practical skills to correctly analyze business problems, and develop operational tactics that are responsive to the continuously developing hospitality and tourism industry,” said Steven Sasam, SWU Phinma HM program chairman.

To ensure quality education, teachers are trained and they are evaluated yearly to make sure that the program is being taught according to the SDH Institute standards.

SWU Phinma is now accepting enrollees for its first batch of HM students with this new curriculum.
