The Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 assured that they will participate in the motion for reconsideration asking the Department of Justice (DOJ) to proceed with criminal cases against Bohol Provincial Board Member Niño Rey Boniel.

Supt. Ehdel Pereira, legal officer of the PRO 7, said they are confident of the cases against Boniel.

“As far as we are concerned, we have filed the right case and we have duly proven it before the office of the city prosecutor. We have so much evidence and we do believe that the filing of parricide case is really the case,” he said.

Pereira said they have yet to receive a copy of the resolution, but since the PRO 7 participated in the filing of the cases, they too, will participate in the motion for reconsideration if they can.

“We will be communicating our opposition for the reversal of the resolution,” Pereira said.
