BILLBOARD TOP 10
The Weeknd released a six-track EP called “Dear Melancholy.” The music sleuths were quick to point out that “Call Out My Name” is about ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez, who ditched the singer to go back to Justin Bieber last year (of course the nth Jelena reunion lasted only a few months). The lyrics include: “We found each other. I helped you out of a broken place. You gave me comfort. But falling for you was my mistake.”
Others also raised that “Wasted Times” was about ex Bella Hadid with lyrics that go: “Wasted times I spent with someone else. She wasn’t even half of you.” The song also called his inspiration an “equestrian,” which was what Hadid was before becoming a full-time model.
