ELCID’S STAGE
THE FIRST ‘HARI SA SUGBO’ WILL COMPETE AGAIN
Aday after winning the Hari sa Sugbo 2018 title, Elcid Camacho received a call inviting him to another competition: the Century Tuna Superbods Ageless 2018. The 26-year-old was shortlisted to be among the candidates of the annual Century Tuna contest that highlights health and fitness.
Camacho, who hails from Getafe, Bohol, started his career in modelling and pageantry in 2013. His current job is exactly what he dreamt about achieving years ago.
But getting to where he is now took a lot of “abs.”
Camacho shared that a schoolmate from the University of Cebu, where he studied Civil Engineering, noticed his abs. And that classmate pushed him to show those abs off and that was how Camacho became a model.
Aside from being the inaugural Hari sa Sugbo winner, Camacho also held the title of Mr. Summer Body 2014.
Camacho also joined the national contest Misters of Filipinas 2014 and Mr. Cebu Body 2016.
Century Tuna Superbods Ageless will be held this Thursday at the Cove, Okada in Parañaque, Manila. He will be competing with nine other men, aged 18 to 37 years old, to become the next Superbods Male winner.
Forty fit, smart and sexy aspirants from the different parts of the country will compete in different categories including the Ageless category, which are for contestants aged 38 to 50 years old.
In an interview with Superbalita Cebu, Camacho revealed that at first, there were no go-see auditions in Cebu for the Century Tuna Superbods. But a week before the finals night of Hari sa Sugbo, it was announced that the Cebuanos would have a chance to compete after all. So Camacho tried his luck.
After winning the Hari sa Sugbo crown, Camacho got a call for a final callback for the Century Tuna contest in Manila.
From 80 men who received callbacks from all over the country, Camacho is now among the 10 finalists for Superbods Male.
“I want to inspire people to stay fit and healthy,” said Camacho of his advocacy, which matches with Century Tuna’s principle.
Hari sa Sugbo 2018, which happened last Feb. 18, also has its own advocacy on human immunodeficiency virus / acquired immunodeficiency syndrome awareness.
Aside from getting fit, Camacho also sings. He is in a band where he is the vocalist and lead guitarist.
The model is urging his fellow Bisdaks (to the non-Bisdaks, this means Bisayang Dako) to vote for him online.
