100% of the proceeds will go to Gift of Life program

-

It’s a fact that there are many children who suffer from congenital heart defects (CHD), thus, there is a need for competent medical practitioners to operate on these children and give them a new lease on life.

The Rotary Club of Cebu invites runners to participate in the second year of Run for Gift of Life this coming May 13 at Robinsons Galleria Cebu.

In partnership with title sponsor Citrineland Corp., this is a charitable run for the Gift of Life program, which aims to raise funds for children with CHD and raise awareness of the disease. All proceeds go to the program. Part of the program’s initiatives is bringing a vocational training team to Cebu, which is composed of volunteers from the US, Europe and Australia to train doctors as well as conduct operations.

Categories of the run are 16 kilometers (16K), 8K, 3K and 1K (which is also called the family run as kids are encouraged to join this category). Registration fees are P650, P450 and P350 (for both 3K and 1K), respectively.

The first 2,000 runners to register will get a grocery loot bag. Participants will also get a discount from Cellpod on cellphone units and accessories by presenting their race bib at the store.

One may register online through rotarycebu.org or onsite at Digital Walker stores in SM City Cebu and Ayala Center Cebu. Deadline of registration is on May 3.
