Ex-MLC head dead of a heart attack

-

Marc Canton, former head of the Movement for a Livable Cebu (MLC), died from a heart attack last Wednesday. He was 61.

Cebu City Councilor Joel Garganera, Canton’s colleague at MLC, said he found out about the new that night. “I received a call from Dr. Shawn Espina informing me about Canton’s death around 10 to 11 p.m.,” he said in Cebuano.

Canton’s family has been based in Canada for almost 30 years, Garganera said.

“He’s a great loss. He was a Mega Cebu advocate,” the councilor said of Canton.

Before he died, Canton was busy working for the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte.
