“I like to play with colors and combinations of vintage and contemporary styles. I don’t usually follow the trends. Sometimes, I follow my own intuition of dressing. My mood, apart from the season, influences the way I choose what to wear on a particular day.

Sometimes, I mix and match my finds from branded apparel names with my finds at ukayukay and flea markets. There are also good finds I collected from my aunt’s closet and from my mom’s closet as well.

Style, for me, expresses one’s personality. I express who I am through my style of fashion. It is personal for me.”

Check out Alec’s style tips:

■ Being comfortable and confident are always the best ways to express yourself in fashion.

■ While it is good to go with the trends, it’s also good to have your own personal signature of fashion attached to it.

■ Look for something that fits your personality and your own kind of style, regardless of trends.

■ You can follow the trends in color but make sure it fits your body structure and color of skin.

■ Putting accessories to complete the touches of your overall fashion style is an important part as well. Above all, being comfortable in your own choice of fashion and styling is the best ingredient for a striking OOTD.
