‘Kadaugan’ the musical

A horde of excited spectators are expected to troop to Lapu-Lapu City today for the reenactment of the victory of Rajah Lapu-Lapu over foreign invaders led by Ferdinand Magellan. As mentioned before, Derrick Hubalde will play Lapu-Lapu, Adrian Luis Alandy is Magellan and Dionne Monsanto is Rayna Bulakna. The reenactment will now be a musical.

After some years of successful staging of the Rampada, will the organizers also opt to give it a twist or something that had not been seen before?

Revelers had to be conscious in the disposal of their garbage after what happened to Boracay. Let’s do our share in taking care of Mother Nature. Happy celebration, Lapu-Lapu City!

The almost unbearable heat outside made me decide to linger inside Ayala Center Cebu after lunch. I watched the Kim Chiu-Ryan Bang-starrer “Da One That Ghost Away” to satisfy my curiosity on Kim’s comedic skill.

True enough, she was able to blend with the other comedians in the cast. I did not regret my decision especially since I was not able to spend a single centavo. Seniors were given the privilege to watch the first screening on Mondays for free.

I don’t deny being a senior ever especially with the perks that are afforded to us that the younger set can only salivate on. Anyway, they will have their time soon.

Two prestigious beauty searches are coming our way. First is the Ms. Mandaue 2018 on May 6 and Bb. Cebu 2018 sometime this year. Apriele Smith, who represented Badian, was crowned as the first Bb. Cebu.
