Isidro answers ‘Dutertard’ with class
Actress Agot Isidro is often a target among die-hard supporters of President Rodrigo Duterte because of her political statements on social media.
Following the ouster of Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno, Isidro had some choice words about it on Twitter.
In one tweet, she posted the photos of the eight associate justices who voted to nullify Sereno’s appointment along with the message: “History will remember you. As traitors. Deal with it.”
She followed this up with this tweet: “Etong mga senador, issue nang issue ng mga statement. Puwede ba? (These senators issue one statement after the other. Really?) You knew this was going to happen. Bakit ngayon lang kayo nagsasalita (Why are you speaking up just now)? The whole CJ issue was supposed to be yours to decide on. Anyare (What happened)? Magtrabaho kasi (Just work)...” She also tweeted: “Just a reminder to everyone. No, he doesn’t have the power. WE DO. #PowerToThePeople.”
A netizen was not happy with Isidro’s tweets.
“Mamatay ka na please, Agot (Please die, Agot),” the Twitter user with the handle @marcosideshow tweeted. “Pati mga anak mo, i-massacre sana
ng mga addict (I hope addicts will massacre your children). Typical crab mentality, millions of people voted for Duterte. Deal with it.”
The netizen’s profile photo is a cartoon of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.
“Pls sana i-massacare and ma-rape anak mo pls (Please, hopefully your children will be massacred and raped),” @marcosideshow added.
“Such class,” Isidro tweeted back. “Happy Mother’s Day to your mom.”
The account of @marcosideshow has since been suspended by Twitter, which means it has violated the rules of the social networking site.
Isidro then tweeted: “Dear DDS (Davao Death Squad), your threats and insults do not do anything to me BUT make me STRONGER. Kaya sige lang (So just continue).”
