Adarna faces child abuse, libel plaints
Actress Ellen Adarna is facing charges of child abuse, cybercrime and libel before the Pasig City Prosecutor’s Office for posting photos of a minor on Instagram without permission.
The mother of 17-year-old Eleila Santos, Myra Santos, filed the complaints against Adarna last Tuesday, reported Rappler.
This, after Adarna failed to publicly apologized to the Santoses despite demand.
Myra posted an open letter addressed to Adarna on her Facebook account, threatening to file a complaint against the recently elusive actress for mistakenly tagging Eleila as a paparazzo.
Adarna posted on her Instagram story last May 4 photos of Eleila and her companion taking photos on her cellphone—Adarna assumed the youngster was taking photos of her. In her caption, Adarna said that she’s taking a paparazzi shot of Eleila since she’s doing the same thing to her.
Eleila clarified in a series of tweets that she was merely taking a photo of her food since she wanted to put it in her Instagram story.
Myra then came into
Ellen Adarna has kept a low profile since she reportedly got pregnant. And even if she is still active on social media, she did not make a statement about the complaint filed by Myra Santos against her. Her last social media post was of her shaving John Lloyd Cruz’s hair. This is Cruz’s latest look.
Eleila’s defense and asked Adarna to apologize especially since Eleila is just a minor. She didn’t deserve the attention she received after being labeled a paparazzo.
Myra claimed Eleila even messaged Adarna directly, explaining she wasn’t stealthily taking a photo of the actress.
Adarna was mum on the charges filed.
