Rosauro looks to score 1st win in ONE Ch’ship

-

Cebuano mixed martial artist Roel ‘Akiyama’ Rosauro vows to score his first win in One Championship as he battles Indonesian Sunoto ‘Terminator’ Peringkat tonight at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

This is the second stint of Rosauro in Asia’s largest MMA organization. In his first attempt, he suffered a heart-breaking defeat by submission to China’s Li Kai Wen last February 23 in Myanmar.

“I am positive about his chance because unlike his ONE Championship debut, he had a longer preparation this time,” said Rosauro’s trainer Master Benigno ‘Ekin’ Caniga Jr., who is also the founder of the famed Yaw-Yan ArDigma Cebu.

“Aki is also fighting in 135 lbs. division, which is his natural weight unlike last February where he was forced to go up one division against the Chinese,” added Master Ekin.

The veteran striker Rosauro, holds a 5-2 win-loss record, while Sunoto, who is on a three-fight winning streak, spots an 8-3 record.

Aside from Rosauro, another Filipino warrior and former world lightweight champion Eduard ‘Landslide’ Folayang will make his cage return against Kharun ‘Predator’ Atlangeriev of Russia. /
