I do’s at the Blu
With dainty string lights overhead and a carpet of grass underfoot, the outdoor events pavilion in the Radisson Blu Cebu was the venue of choice to gather some of the hotel’s valued partners in the weddings and events industry. Coordinators, decorators, designers and media friends were invited to the casual chic garden party announcing the fourth consecutive year of Something Blu: A Wedding of a Kind, Radisson’s bridal fair to be held on June 16 and 17 at The Northwing atrium of SM City Cebu.
This group of some of Cebu’s go-to event suppliers, plus the Blu’s capable sales, marketing and events teams, are in the business of ensuring each client’s event is enjoyable. So of course, everyone present had such a fun evening. After a barbecue dinner of salads, grilled sausages and meats, and apple cobbler, a short program was presented on the hotel’s new wedding offers. The garden was filled with laughter during the games that followed, such as which group could make the longest list for certain categories. “Things You Plug,” for example, listed washing machine, radio, iPhone etc. “Things That Grow” included children, nails, savings and other objects that I can’t say on print.
The five-star hotel is one of the most coveted wedding venues in all of Cebu; to date, there are already over 90 confirmed reservations for this year alone. Exciting prizes such as a photo shoot by Robo Formacion, a bridal gown by Jongz Loquinario, and weekend getaways at Radisson Hotel Group properties in Clark and Davao, should entice couples who are soon to be wed to visit and register at the bridal fair.
