Employees of Visayan Electric Company (Veco) and SM Malls are just among the thousands of partners of Cebu’s public schools in this year’s Brigada Eskwela.
True to its commitment to advance business and communities, close to a hundred Veco Kaibigans trooped to the Sangat Elementary School in the southern town of San Fernando, Cebu for the 2018 Brigada Eskwela last May 26.
Sangat Elementary School is situated in an 11,658-square-meter lot and is approximately 35 kilometers south of Cebu City. It is home to 1,141 pupils and 35 teachers.
The Veco Kaibigans, along with faculty and members of the Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) of the school divided themselves into groups and took on different tasks, such as painting roofs, ceilings and walls, cleaning of the school grounds, as well as masonry works.
“Sangat Elementary School is fortunate for being Veco’s recipient school for Brigada Eskwela 2018. We thank Veco for their genuine support in the repair and painting of our classrooms,” said Sangat Elementary School principal Jonathan Bolo.
