Bright future for Jolianne

- Sam Costanilla samcost@yahoo.com

SHOW. I should commend the organizers of a fund-raising show, whose proceeds will go to the coffers of the Lupus Care Foundation Philippines. Kimmy and Slabadu Cafe & Bistro are joining forces to stage the event titled “Bright Horizon” tomorrow, Tuesday, from 4 to 8 p.m.

BANDS. Kimmy, a young girl, was diagnosed with lupus three years ago. Being an artist herself, she wants to make a difference through music. During the show, two bands named Next Stage and Snap will also perform. The P500 cover charge is for the dinner and a compact disc. I enjoin everybody to watch tomorrow’s fund-raiser.

TALENTED. She was a “The Voice Kids” star in 2015 and since then became an entertainer, doing shows with Original Pilipino Music icon Nonoy Zuñiga. Recently, Jolianne Salvado was the front act during a concert featuring Stephen Bishop and J Michaels at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino. Indeed, this 10th grader is a talented girl.

SONGS. Actually, Jolianne is also a composer in her own right. In 2016, she wrote and released her first song titled “I Can’t Go On.” As of now, she has other songs to be refined but would rather concentrate on schooling first.

ADMIRATION. I admire Jolianne for prioritizing things. I told her, and she agreed, that enhancing her musical skill could wait after her studies. Of course, Jolianne is open to singing in concerts and private events as long as her time permits.
